Pin Board – Spring 2009 - News and Snippets from Pins and Ribbons
Welcome to our latest edition of ‘Pin Board.’ This is our chance to put a spring in your step by telling you what is happening in the world of Pins and Ribbons and how it will help you.
Reasons to celebrate
As a major part of our Pins and Ribbons family, we recognise the significant role that you play in our success. So, once again we would like to thank you for your continued support. In particular, one of the major milestones we would like to share with you is our 3rd birthday.
As a valued customer, we believe in going the extra mile to help you. This means we keep our products fresh and exciting, as well as paying full attention to the quality of our products and the level of service we provide. We have recently sourced some new and exciting fabrics and colourways to tie in with the current interior trends.
A sunny outlook
Despite the current economic climate, which has seen some businesses choose to move production overseas for cheap labour, at Pins and Ribbons we remain true to our ‘Handmade in England’ roots.
This means all of our products are made in this country by us using, where possible, UK produced fabrics. The fact that we don’t outsource abroad, coupled with our policy on being eco-friendly and recycling everything from packaging to scrap materials, is bringing in plenty of orders. It also scooped us our fourth consecutive Oliver Heath eco award earlier this year.
On top of this, even though most people are putting major renovation work on hold, they are still happy to invest in well chosen home accessories. It’s amazing how an eye-catching memo board, door stop, cushion or draught excluder can breathe new life into a tired-looking room scheme. Our scented hearts will also help to freshen things up in the home in more ways than one, and won’t break the bank.
Our sunny outlook means that our products are continuing to fly off the shelves. It seems that the public really do want to buy British-made products.
New products for 2009
This year will see an expansion of our product lines. Each is made to co-ordinate with the full range of Pins and Ribbons home accessories, which include everything from draft excluders, memo boards and doorstops through to headboards and footstools .
Our new items include: pet products and a full personalisation service on all our product.
Still popular with the press
We’re always delighted to see our products in the press and glossy magazines. Not only does it raise awareness of our ‘Handmade in England’ campaign, but we know that it helps to draw customers to our stockiest as well.
